HIV & the Latinx Community

Join us for a conversation with UCR Alum, Victor Marroquin, about the implications of HIV/AIDS in the Latinx Community. Victor Hugo Marroquin (he/they) is a queer community organizer from East Hollywood who identifies as Chicano and Chapin. They graduated from UC Riverside with degrees in Philosophy, Gender and Sexuality Studies, and Education. They currently live in South Central and work as a Program Coordinator for Latino Equality Alliance in Boyle Heights, where he is working with youth from East LA and Southeast LA to create safer and more empowering spaces for Queer and Trans People of Color through sexual health education, substance misuse prevention, and decolonizing K-12 schooling curriculums.

 

HIV Testing will also be available from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM at the following on campus locations:

Chicano Student Programs:  145 Costo Hall

Student Disability Resource Center: 1228 Student Services Building
