UCR is Dancing 2021

What:
The UCR department of dance is auditioning undergraduate students to participatein our annual winter concert, UCR is Dancing 2021. This annual production showcases new ideas and experiments in original choreography by UCR undergraduate choreography students. UCR is Dancing dates are TBA. Rehearsals begin this fall 2020.

Who should Audition:
Dance majors, minors, students currently enrolled in department practice classes and those who are interested in being a part of the department are invited to audition.  
Movers and performers from all backgrounds are welcome! 

How:
This year the audition is taking place remotely. Dancers who would like to participate in the audition please follow the instructions provided in the videos pre-recorded by the choreographers and send us your dance video containing:

Introduce yourself and describe the first time you entered a dance studio.  Please download and complete the Audition Sheet 

A 30-second video of each of the two short phrases provided 
(Jazz, and Hip Hop Contemporary)

When: 
The NEW deadline for sending your video is Sunday, November 8th, 2020.
Note: You’ll receive notification of the outcome of your audition by week 6.

Rehearsal Information:
Dancers who are chosen to participate in UCR is Dancing 2021 are expected to rehearse during the Fall and Winter quarters. During winter 2021, dancers will be required to enroll in DNCE 167 for 2 units and will be expected to participate in a movement practice course of your choice. More information about rehearsals times and dates will be provided by your choreographer.
