From Yogyakarta to Area 51: 
A Celebration of René T.A. Lysloff’s Years at UCR

Featuring video good wishes from colleagues and students near and far; comments by CHASS Dean Milagros Peña and Prof. Rogerio Budasz, Chair of the Department of Music; brief excerpts from several of Prof. Lysloff’s most influential publications; and a hauntingly beautiful film and photo montage by Bernard Gordillo Brockmann (Ph.D. 2019) titled Sensing Gamelan, of a 2016 performance by the UCR Javanese Gamelan. Organized, co-hosted, and emceed by the UCR ethnomusicology faculty.
