The UCR Chamber Singers and Chorale sing a happy variety of choral music, from American hymnody and spirituals to favorite songs of Broadway. With music by Randall Thompson, Adolphus Hailstork, Emma Lou Diemer, Elliot Z. Levine, Stephen Sondheim, and Harry Belafonte, plus Felix Mendelssohn and Antônio Carlos Jobim, and featuring the beautiful "Cantique de Jean Racine" by Faure, songs from the Sacred Harp tradition, and music from Leonard Bernstein’s brilliant "West Side Story." Conducted by Ruth Charloff, with our terrific pianist Jonathan Keplinger.
