The University of California, Riverside will observe Memorial Day with a week of events from May 19th to 23rd, organized by the Veterans Resource Center. The events aim to honor fallen service members and raise awareness of veterans' experiences.

Throughout the week, the Weight They Carried Exhibit and POW/MIA Table Exhibit will be displayed at the Veterans Resource Center (VRC). These installations shed light on the emotional and physical burdens carried by military personnel and honor prisoners of war and those missing in action.

Ally Training and Panel discussions will take place Tuesday at 3 p.m. in SOM Building II, Room 205, and Wednesday at 4 p.m. in HUB 260. These sessions promote dialogue and support for veteran communities.

The week concludes with a Flag Planting Ceremony at Hinderaker Lawn on Friday at 8 a.m., inviting students, staff, and faculty to plant flags in remembrance of those who served.
