Voices & Visions is a visual and performance art event that celebrates and brings awareness to young people who have experinced foster care. Blending spoken word poetry, photography, and mixed media art, Voices & Visions is a student-curated event that empowers students who have experienced foster care to tell their personal stories of resilience and success. The event is co-sponsored by the Gaurdian Scholars Programs at UC Riverside, Riverside City College, and Moreno Valley College. The Guardian Scholars Program provides support to current and emancipated college-going foster youth. Voices & Visions will be held at the Culver Center of the Arts on Thursday, May 16th, 2019 at 6:00pm to coincide with National Foster Care Awareness Month.
