About this Event
Registration closes May 28 at 5pm.
Join Outdoor Excursions for a boat trip from Newport Beach to see marine wildlife! At this time of year, Gray Whales start their 5000 mile swim from the lagoons of Baja Mexico where they breed and calf to the Alaskan feeding grounds for summer. These now-protected mammals were almost extinct in the past due to commercial whaling. Gray Whales may be seen through May, and there are plenty of other species such as Common and Bottlenose Dolphin, Sea Lions, Fin Whales, Minke Whales, and sea birds. Dress for cool and windy conditions, bring a pair of binoculars if you have some, and share in the excitement. Trip includes transportation, trip leaders, whale watching boat tickets, parking fees, and snacks..
Registration open March 19-May 28.
