From the mountains to the valley floors, carbon plays an integral role in the ecosystems of Coachella. Carbon, and its gaseous form of dioxide, is also a key driver of climate changes. Here I will describe efforts to measure, model, and manage carbon storage in the ecosystems of Coachella and how this responds and contributes to climate changes.
