About this Event
Free EventSummers in the Coachella Valley have always been hot, but each year it seems as though we are setting new records for the hottest temperatures ever recorded here. We humans survive by cranking up our air conditioners or vacationing somewhere with a cooler climate, but what happens if you don't have air conditioning and can't afford a vacation? That's the outlook if you are a desert lizard. The Coachella Valley has more species of lizards than any similar sized region in North America. The question then is can they survive increasingly brutal summers living where they have for thousands of years, shift to higher and so cooler elevations, or do they perish?
