Coachella Valley: A Pit of Snakes! will discuss the role snakes play in local ecosystems and why that matters to local residents, and how to spot and safely observe snakes, as well as introduce viewers to many of the local species that can be found in the Coachella Valley.
There will also be some snake trivia (just for fun) at the end!
About the speaker: Paisley Ramstead is a lifelong Palm Springs resident, a College of the Desert student, field biologist for UCR Center for Conservation Biology, and a (mostly) self-taught hobby herpetologist. She has spent countless hours learning about and observing Coachella Valley’s native reptiles, and in 2020 she created the Palm Springs Reptile Appreciation page on Facebook as a community resource to help Coachella Valley residents safely identify and coexist with our scaly neighbors.
