About this Event
David Christensen, University Carillonneur
Live, weekly concerts are played on UCR's magnificent 48-bell carillon, a musical instrument housed inside the Bell Tower.
The cast-bronze, cup-shaped bells are arranged chromatically and precisely tuned so that several bells can be sounded harmoniously together. The bells are sounded by striking a series of wooden levers with the side of the hand or fingers and with the feet.
