About this Event
The Women's Resource Center's Graduate Mentorship Program is now accepting applications for the Winter 2023 quarter! For 10 weeks, UCR undergraduate mentees will meet once a week with UCR graduate mentors to discuss graduate school opportunities and the application process. For undergraduates this is a great way to ask any questions you may have about graduate school and take advantage of one-on-one personalized guidance from a current graduate student who has recently gone through the application process themselves. For graduate students, beyond a CV point, this program offers a great opportunity to engage with the UCR community and gain relevant mentorship experience that is not only helpful during job applications, but also beneficial in every career field. Everyone, not just women, are welcomedto apply, as long as they are comfortable in a female-centered space.
Obligations are minimal with just 1-2 hours required per week for mentees and mentors to meet and 2-3 valuable skills-building sessions throughout the quarter (hybrid options available). Mentorship sessions can be fully remote, hybrid, or in-person, based on personal preference. The aim is to connect mentors and mentees of similar disciplines together as much as possible. If you have any questions please reach out to the Women's Resource Center and/or Angeliz Casillas at avarg100@ucr.edu.
