This fall, we invite you to join the XCITE EdTech Series, a set of focused workshops designed to enhance your teaching with the latest educational tools and strategies. Our sessions will provide essential updates and practical applications for key platforms such as Respondus Monitor, Canvas, Gradescope, Poll Everywhere, Slack, and CidiLabs.

• Slack (Coursebot) Training
  Learn how to integrate Slack into your Canvas course to boost student engagement, featuring insights from Ryan Rusich of the Department of Computer Science.

• CidiLabs Training

  Use CidiLabs to enhance the look and functionality of your courses, making them more navigable, visually appealing, and easier for students to process. Led by XCITE Instructional Designer Dr. Deborah Nelson, this training will provide practical strategies to improve both the aesthetic and functional aspects of your course design. This session will cover 

• Navigating through the DesignPLUS sidebar

• Applying themes to your course

• Using accordions, tabs, extenders, or cards for organized content

• Implementing navigation tools like module lists and link grids

• Ensuring accessibility with the Sidebar Accessibility Checker

• Creating formative feedback instances through Quick Checks
